Create this great travel game from Homelife and keep your little ones entertained in the car or plane when travelling long distances.
What you will need
For the board
30 x 30 cm piece of felt - the edges finished with pinking shears;

For the bag
2 pieces of calico - 20x15cm rectangles;

A 50cm length of string;

How to
1. Zigzag stitch a grid on the felt to make the board.

2. To make the game pieces, create six small balls out of each colour of the clay, then flatten slightly with your thumb or the back of a teaspoon. Use a skewer to mark the pieces with noughts or crosses. Allow to dry completely.
3. To make the bag, pin together the rectangles of calico, then stitch around three sides (two long sides and one shorter side). Pin and press a hem along the unfinished opening, then stitch in place, leaving an opening for the drawstring.
4. Press the seams, then turn right side out.
5. Add an iron-on motif if desired.
6. Thread string through the casing and tie.
